The 40 Calorie Flour Tortilla
I made some home made guacamole to go with these. They’re pretty easy to make and delicious!
Market Comparison:
In terms of cost, I’m not sure as I’ve never bought tortillas from the store… But I imagine they do not cost 1 cent per tortilla. Nutritionally, 1 Flour Mission Tortilla is 150 calories… These are about a FOURTH of that. :)
Ingredients:
- 1/8 Teaspoon Salt
- .5 oz Water
- 1/4 Cup Flour
- 1/8 Teaspoon Baking Powder
Servings: Creates 2 Tortillas (1 Tortilla = 1 Serving)

- Calories Per Serving: 41.25 cal
- Fat (g) per Serving: 0.00 g
- Carbs (g) per Serving: 8.63 g

Directions:
- Combine all ingredients into a bowl and mix. Dough should combine in to a single ball. If this doesn’t happen, add a little more water incrementally until it does.
- Cover the dough with a wet towel or cloth for ~15 minutes.
- Split dough into two balls. Roll into round shapes.
- Flour the counter.
- Take each ball and roll out into a very flat circle.
- Take each circle and place onto an ungreased skillet.
- Cook over medium heat until tortilla starts to show brown spots.
- Enjoy!

So excited to start the P90X/TurboFire hybrid in a few days! I’m borrowing P90X from my stepbrother, so I just have to wait for TurboFire to be delivered. Before pics will be posted soon, as well as the schedule I’m going to follow!

Do 25. Rest. Repeat 3-4 more times. It really tones up your butt!
* I do this while watching tv. I just lay on the floor in front of the tv, and do this- multitasking is my favorite way to get in workouts! I love doing little things here and there to really boost my metabolism and tone up my body! :)

Blackberry Banana Mint Smoothie
Makes 4 servings
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- 3 cups soy milk (more or less if you like)
- 6 oz organic fresh blackberries
- 2 frozen bananas
- 3-4 tablespoons honey (more or less if you like)
- 1/4 cup flax seed meal (optional)
- Fresh mint
Place mint leaves and 1 cup of soy milk in a blender and blend for 10 seconds. Add remaining ingredients and blend until smooth. Serve.

Spicy Salsa Fresca
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 jalapeno, seeded
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 medium onion
- 1 1/2 lbs Roma tomatoes (about 5 or 6), seeded
- 1/2 cup fresh cilantro
- 4 tbsp fresh lime juice (about 2 limes)
- Kosher salt and black pepper, to taste
DIRECTIONS:
- pulse jalapeno, garlic, and onion in a food processor until minced. Add remaining ingredients and pulse to desired consistency
- season and let stand 30 minutes before serving
- makes 4 servings (1 serving 3/4 cup)
